CYAN Design Workshop is a multidisciplinary design studio based in San Antonio, Texas, focused on physical products, packaging systems and commercial environments.
Our approach begins with the real conditions surrounding a design challenge—how something is used, produced, handled, packaged, transported or experienced. By understanding those conditions first, we develop thoughtful solutions that balance function, practicality and visual clarity.
Our work spans industrial and product design, packaging development and spatial design, supported by visual and digital capabilities when they strengthen the project. This multidisciplinary approach allows us to consider not only how something looks, but how the different parts of a solution work together.
From production components and packaging systems to commercial environments, CYAN works closely with clients, suppliers and manufacturing partners to move ideas from early assessment and development toward practical implementation.

Madeira Escamilla
Lead Industrial Designer
Madeira Escamilla is a San Antonio–based industrial designer and Lead Industrial Designer at CYAN Design Workshop LLC. Her work focuses on physical products, production components, packaging systems and commercial environments—particularly projects shaped by real dimensional, manufacturing, handling and operational constraints.
At CYAN, she leads projects through assessment, dimensional documentation, 3D modeling, visualization, prototyping and coordination with suppliers and manufacturing partners. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design from Tecnológico de Monterrey and a Master’s Degree in Design and Architecture from Elisava in Barcelona.

DFM Engineer (Design for Manufacturability Engineer)

Digital Design Review: Analyzes CAD models and sketches delivered by the industrial design team to evaluate whether they are geometrically feasible to manufacture using the workshop's available technologies (CNC, 3D printing, laser cutting, etc.).

Material Selection: Recommends and validates ideal materials (plastics, metals, resins, woods, or flexible packaging materials) considering desired aesthetics, mechanical strength, and production costs.

Assembly Optimization: Ensures designed parts fit together seamlessly, reducing unnecessary components and simplifying the final assembly process.
