Every project begins by understanding what exists, what needs to change and the physical conditions that shape the problem. From there, CYAN develops, tests and refines the design toward a practical solution.
The CYAN Method
01 — DISCOVER
Understand the challenge.
We begin with the project goals, existing conditions, intended use and the problem that needs to be solved.
02 — ASSESS
Study the real conditions.
We document dimensions, physical constraints, materials, workflows and other factors that may influence the design.
03 — CONCEPT
Explore possible responses.
Ideas begin to take form through sketches, layouts, configurations and early three-dimensional studies.
04 — DEVELOP
Turn direction into design.
Selected concepts are developed through dimensional refinement, 3D modeling, packaging layouts or spatial development, depending on the project.
From development to implementation.
Design does not always end with a digital file. Depending on the project, CYAN may continue through physical validation, manufacturing coordination and implementation. Each project advances only through the stages relevant to its scope.
05 — VALIDATE
Test before moving forward.
Physical mockups, prototypes, fit checks or other validation methods are used when appropriate to evaluate the design against real conditions.
